An Evening With the Bees: Film Screening in Charmouth

Updated: 5 days ago

This January, we’re delighted to be hosting a special community screening of the beautiful documentary To Be With the Bees at Charmouth Community Hall.

Bees sit at the heart of our landscapes, our food systems, and our own wellbeing — yet they are facing unprecedented challenges. To Be With the Bees, directed by Perrine Bertrand and Yan Grills, is a gently powerful 1 hour 30 minute film made by independent filmmakers that explores our relationship with bees, the threats they face, and, importantly, the solutions already taking root around the world.

This is not a doom-laden film. It is thoughtful, hopeful and deeply moving, offering a chance to slow down, listen, and reconnect — not just with bees, but with the natural systems that support us all.

We’ll be serving wine and nibbles, and the evening will conclude with a Q&A session, creating space for discussion, reflection, and shared curiosity.

We’d love you to join us for an evening of film, conversation, and connection — and to be, for a little while, with the bees.
