Introducing the community group : Bee Friendly Bridport

Bee Friendly Bridport is a dedicated Community Group that has been thoughtfully established through the collaborative efforts of the passionate team at The Dorset Bee and the enthusiastic members of the Symondsbury School Bee Club. This initiative aims to promote awareness and understanding of the vital role that solitary bees play in our ecosystem. The group focuses on fostering a sense of community engagement and environmental stewardship among local residents, encouraging them to participate in various activities that support bee populations and their habitats. As well as setting up a trail of 12 Bee Hotels around Bridport that will delight local and residnts alike, we engage the public through educational workshops, community events, and hands-on projects. Bee Friendly Bridport seeks to inspire individuals of all ages to appreciate the significance of bees and to take actionable steps toward creating a more bee-friendly environment in Bridport and its surrounding areas. By bringing together experts, educators, and community members, the group aims to create a sustainable future where bees can thrive, thereby enhancing biodiversity and contributing to the health of our local environment.
