Beekeeping Experiences
Come and meet the bees in lovely rural West Dorset, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty right on the Jurassic coast.
Our beekeeping experiences are very calm and relaxed as this is the best way to approach bees and observe them. We don't rush and or try to pack too much in, but you will be amazed at how much you can learn in a short time spent with a group of enthusiastic people. The experiences include lunch or afternoon tea after visiting the bees, which provides a welcome chance for a chat about the shared experience and to ask questions about bees. We love chatting about bees, so we are happy to answer the many questions we always get from our enthused guests.
Beekeeping experiences generally start at 10am and finish at approximately 1pm after lunch. The workshop day is 10am until approximately 4pm.
The two day beginner beekeeper theory course is for those who hope to have their own hive and are seeking knowledge and guidance.
This course takes place before the beekeeping season starts and the days are from 10.00am until 5pm. Find out more here.

A shorter experience in a group with other families. Taste some honey, plant a pollinator friendly seed and visit the bees. We give the children the space and time they need to approach the bees and to ask questions. We are experienced at introducing children to bees, helping them to engage and making it a wonderful moment that you get to share with them.
